About the event

Alton Fringe Theatre comes to Reading to present an evening of prose, poetry and song featuring what might be called our national obsession- the weather!

Chosen to represent all parts of the UK, Weather Words will include great writers of the past along with contemporary voices reflecting all aspects of the weather and our changing climate. Thought-provoking, moving, inspirational and humorous, there will be plenty to entertain.

Alton Fringe Theatre founded in 1988. Always looking for new ways to engage with the local community, the group has begun presenting readings in bookshops opening up literature to new audiences whilst supporting independent bookshops - all ticket sales benefit the bookshops.
